The Jockey of Artemision is a large Hellenistic bronze statue of a young boy riding a horse, dated to c.140 BC but possibly as early as 200BC. It is a rare surviving original bronze statue from Ancient Greece, and is currently located at the National Archaeological Museum, Athens.
For all postcard collectors… Russia and Turkmenistan have issued postcards over the years featuring Akhal-Teke horses!
